Matt successfully lifted the stones in front of a large crowd of lifters including Chloe Brennan, Mark Haydock, Brett Nicol, Jim & Rosemary Splaine, Davy Bagnall, Charlie Blair Oliphant, Martin Jancsics, Dean Kent, Scott Dalrymple, Timo Lauttamus, Adam Bushaway, David Webster OBE, James Fuller, Kirsten Moore, Malcolm Nicol, Helen Knowles, Stevie Shanks and the large crowd in attendance. His lift makes him the second youngest unassisted lifter on record and one of only two lifters who were younger than Dinnie himself who is recorded as lifting the Steens at age 23.
